  15. Monk, Oh how I miss your smile, your laugh, and your sense of humor. Death leaves a heartache no one can ever heal. LOVE leaves a memory no one can ever steal!! You are braver than you believe, stronger than you think, but, the most important thing is, even though we’re apart…. I’ll always be with you. I know we’re not suppose to question why this had to happen??? but, illness and death are out of our control. The Good LORD put his arms out and said come to me!!! You now have no more cancer, and at peace. You were very strong, and fought hard to beat this deadly illness, but a cure was not to be. You are now teaching the angels how to ride a horse, and fox hunt!!!!! Until we’re together again I love you !!!!! your wife, Maryetta

  16. I was just talking about Monk to our hunt. I met him riding with Jefferis Hounds. He and Arnold always invited me to ride with them, I don’t know why, I had a gaited horse, not hunt worthy on the grand scale. But they both were so kind. Monk took me under his wing and showed me, taught me, how to whip in. He was awesome and then and there I knew that is what I wanted to do. We have a second home in Vt and I ended up hunting with North Country Hounds, capping, then whipping in and got awarded my colors. Huge for me as again, I am riding a gaited horse. But I give all the credit to Monk. I think about him every Wednesday and Sunday up here. I sometimes even shout out the ‘weeee’ that he used to bring in the hounds. A true love. Horses, hounds and quarry in heaven for him.
