MARIAN “Mannie” C. TAVONI, age 90, of Kennett Square, PA, passed away on Wednesday, November 18, 2015, at her daughter’s residence. She was the wife of Samuel J. Tavoni, who passed away in 2011, and with whom she shared 66 years of marriage.

Born in Kennett Square, PA, she was the daughter of the late Francis P. and Grace O’Neil Campbell.

She was a homemaker, and a member of St. Patrick’s Church.

She is survived by one son, Stephen K. Tavoni and his wife Kathleen of Kennett Square, PA; one daughter, Phyllis Anne Tavoni Smith and her husband Barry of Kennett Square, PA; one sister, Patricia Brown of Kennett Square, PA; eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Mrs. Tavoni was predeceased by one son, Samuel J. Tavoni, Jr. and one sister, Carolyn C. Field.

You are invited to visit with her family and friends from9:30 to 10:30 on Friday, November 27, 2015, at the Kuzo & Grieco Funeral Home, 250 West State Street, Kennett Square, PA. Her Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00, at St. Patrick’s Church, 212 Meredith Street, Kennett Square, PA. Burial will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Route 82, Kennett Square, PA.

  1. Phyllis, Barry, Stevie and Kathy: I am so very sorry for your loss. Aunt Mannie was such a kind, sweet and beautiful mother, sister, Aunt etc. and she will be missed by so many. Some of my best memories growing up were with the Tavoni family during those magnificent cookouts. Uncle Sammy’s chicken, as many sodas as we could drink and the most delicious food ever and spending time with our cousins. Forever in our hearts Aunt Mannie. Thank you for everything and I will miss you…….

  3. I have so many fond memories of Aunt Mannie and Uncle Sam. She was a strong and beautiful lady who I will greatly miss. To Phyllis and Barry, Steve and Kathy, Patsy and Brownie and her whole extended family, you are in my thoughts.
