  1. Sharon and Sheila, it’s been yeeeeears since I had seen Gail. Of course as young elementary school friends, I remember laughing a lot and enjoying swimming in your pool. I had heard Gail had many struggles later in life and I am very sorry. It is a great loss to your family. I have such fond memories of childhood playing at your house. My deepest sympathy.

  2. Gail was my beloved sister for 63 years and her loss is unbearable. My son, Daniel Edgerton, said it best when he spoke about her selflessness and courage to face the challenges in her life head on with strength and determination- it wasn’t easy. I am so proud of her for all the problems she was able to overcome and wish I had told her that more often. She was committed and diligent about going to her weekly AA meetings. It was an all woman group and they called themselves “The Twisted Sisters.” Indeed they were all like sisters to her and gave her comfort and support through hard times. They truly were her “adopted sisters.” Gail was kind, loving, generous, and a beautiful person inside and out and I will painfully miss her forever. Rest in peace, beautiful Gail.

  11. Thoughts and Prayers go out to all the family in this time of sorrow. Elwood, so sorry for your loss. We really are blessed to have met both of you, made new friends, and enjoyed riding with you the last two years. I am so glad to have met Gail to enjoy our ventures, talks and just hanging out. When we were on the road with all of our group. (Paul, Patty, Jack, Glenn, Johnny and myself. Also, whomever we would pick up on the way) I would say that we almost got to know you real close the first time you and Gail took your new bike out…….. All I can say is two things, “Awwww Shi____!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, and I would really say HORSE SHI____” and “Your soooo good!!!!! You couldn’t have handled it any better than that.” Well, these are a few things we can think and smile about for the times we had together. So sorry it had end so soon here on earth. R I P my friend, you are in heavens gates now and no more worries or pains. We’ll see you there some day and we will do it again and again. You will be missed. Love you, Kimmie and Johnny Walther

  14. My sister, Gail, was probably one of the least selfish people I have ever known. She always made sure everyone else’s needs were met before her own. She often gave up things so that others could be happy. She was a caregiver to her clients. They all seemed to love Gail, and she loved helping them. She was so proud of herself the day she saved Mrs. Bird’s life.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She said she was not ready to leave us. She also said that a lot of people loved her and depended on her. God had different plans. She must have known his plans, because she really never showed fear. Her strength never dwindled. I only hope in my dying days that I can be that strong. She is now at peace with no pain and suffering. May her soul rest in peace. I love her very much.

  15. My Aunt Gail was the most giving, selfless, gracious person I know. She was always there offering everything she could to anyone in need of help. I never once heard her complain about challenges she faced, she faced them head on with great strength. She had an ability to adapt and change when challenged. She had deep love for her family, friends, animals and people, which shined in her work and her relationships. She faced many challenges in her life but worked very hard to overcome them. My life was shaped by her strength and her ability to change and overcome her challenges, she served as a great symbol, metaphor, and beacon of hope for me facing my own challenges. I am still amazed by her courage and strength, and remember her when I need strength to move forward in my life. I will miss her deeply and love her always.

  21. Though it has been many years since I’ve seen Gail I have thought of her many times. I knew Gail when we were young High School graduates, me from Unionville, her from Kennett. I remember her shop and having her do my hair. We had many good times together and I will remember her infectious laugh and great friendship fondly. My condolences to her family, Fly with the Angels Gail. Your old friend Janice.

  35. Gail was always a good-hearted friend to me. She never forgot to ask about my Mom and other things in my life. She cared about other people and was not afraid to show it. She never tired of talking about her grandson and how grateful she was to have him in her life. I can remember in particular how much she loved dressing up for Halloween. Always made me laugh. I will miss her very much. Love and comfort to her family.
