We have kept in touch for years after I moved to the west coast and then I realized just recently I had not heard from him in several months after I mailed him so I thought I would Google him….sadly enough there was his obituary.
I am so sorry to learn of this sad news.
Tommy, Robyn, Anthony and Anita you were so very lucky to have had him in your life and I have been blessed by
knowing him and shall never forget the many years I was fortunate enough to be his friend . R.I.P. Skip….always loved and never forgotten. Untill we meet again my friend….

  5. Dear Anthony, Anita and Robyn,

I am so sorry to hear about your Dad. We were friends back in high school and had so many fun times together. I remember when he got his first Corvette; it was a beauty and he loved it. I am sure you will miss him, but I am also sure you made many great memories together that you will keep in your hearts forever. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your families.

  6. I had dinner with Skipper uptown in August.
Although it was only a couple hours I’m so glad we spent that time together.
I have many fond memories of him.
He would call me every year on my birthday and I will truly miss that.
Rest in peace Skip, you were one of a kind and will be missed.
    Till we meet again

  7. Last time I saw Skipper was at Hockessin Athletic Club where he and his granddaughter were going in to exercise. It was the first time I had seen him in years. As teen agers he had a beautiful corvette, 1958 I think. Racing down route one and leaving everyone in the dust. I had my 1955 pink and white ford which I must confess raced him also. That was before all the stop lights were installed and we had a clear shot from Drews mushroom houses beyond the Giant store into Kennett. Oddly enough I can’t remember the outcome!! Those were good times and will never be forgotten.. My only regret was not taking him for a ride in my 1977 172 Cessna after I got my license. Often thought about him though.
My thoughts and prayers are with his family and he will be missed.

  23. We have so many good memories of Skip from the past few years including our late night trip in to Cargo City to pick up our puppies; his visits to our house to hang out with Briar; his constant efforts to have Chuck buy me the corvette as well as order more puppies and so many more. He was a good neighbor and such a fun man to be around. It won’t be the same knowing that he is not in the house on the hill. Please know that our thoughts have been with your entire family over the last few weeks. He will be greatly missed.
