  1. Bob and Family I am very sorry Bob and I weren’t able to come today. My daughter, Marie, was coming up from Dover to get us but the snow and Bob and I both not feeling well changed our plans. I am sorry I missed Babe’s Mass and the Eulogy you gave for her. Both Joan and Helen Ann told me it was very moving. Marie (Rezy) O’Connor

  2. I am so sorry. When I read this today, it took me back to some wonderful memories of when we were neighbors. Mrs. Markel was always so friendly and caring. She was also ready to help when needed. I also remember Freckles, the dalmation , who made playing the game of badminton almost impossible! Wonderful memories of a wonderful woman…Jean Moroney Bryan

  3. Dear Robert and Family,
May I express my sincere condolences upon the death of a very fine lady. I remember your mother and father attending Mass almost daily when we were in grade school at ABVM.
The lighter side of my memories is my first date–you were a Skeleton and I was Raggedy Ann. Your parents graciously escorted us to the Boy Scout dance held at the cabin in Oxford.
Hope this finds you happy and well.
    Sincerely,
    Sharon Pinno Carlisle

  4. Sending sympathy and prayers to the Markel Family at this sad time. I remember her way back from our old St. Mary Days and later she and her sister were devoted “Church Lady Friends” of my mothers.
    Christmas Blessings,
    Kathy
