  1. McConnell Family,
So sorry reading about your Dad’s passing.
You Dad was a good guy, used to always talk no matter when I would see him. I remember back when I was married he was one of my drivers.
Your memories of him will give you strength during these trying times. Be at peace knowing he is in heaven today.
    God Bless. Michael Conner

  5. To the Family of Cookie:

I just got notification from my brother (Richard) that Cookie passed away. I was shocked and deeply saddened, to say the least. I remember all the McConnells and so many of the Laffertys well from our childhood days in Kaolin. So many happy memories. May he rest in peace. Again, my deepest condolences to family. Cookie left us all too soon. Mary Jane (Ogorek) Coleman

  6. To Lou, Bill and Rosemary : So sorry to hear about Cookie’s untimely passing. I remember our growing up together in Kaolin and playing our baseball from dusk to dawn at “Crossan” Field. He was good athlete and good person. Those were the days! We were always chasing daylight.

Unfortunately I am away on business until March 1 so will not be able to attend the viewing. But I would like to catch up when I get back. Rosemary, I seem to remember that we may have had contact when your Mom passed and I was away on business also. Please send your contact information so I can reach out upon return.

I will pass on the news to my siblings.

  7. So many wonderful memories of our fun-loving cousin, Cookie. He was a great big brother and cousin, with so many funny stories and the best sense of humor. I remember that he was also a compassionate person, loving, and respectful to his elders. He loved his family so much. He was so proud of his sons. He told me of hilarious and unforgettable times when he visited Ireland with Lew and my brother Jim, who had the time of his life! I know he and Jim are re-telling those funny stories in heaven together now, and playing cards with Uncle Bill, Uncle Johnny and the rest of the Kaolin crew. We love you. Rest in peace, Cookie.
