Elizabeth J. Bogle

June 29, 1928 - February 26, 2019 Kennett Square, PA | Age 90 Loving Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and Friend

Elizabeth J. Bogle, of Kennett Square, PA, passed away Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Elizabeth was predeceased by her husband, Joseph W. Bogle. Her son Bucky says that now two loving souls have been reunited.

Elizabeth was born in Hamorton, PA on June 29, 1928 to the late Charles A. Myers and the late Georgia Bowersox Myers.

Prior to her retirement, Elizabeth worked as a caterer for the New Bolton Center animal hospital.

Elizabeth was an inspirational woman who had many accomplishments to be proud of.  She served as President of the Business and Professional Club in Kennett Square, was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star as well as the East Lynn Grange, and was 2nd runner up for Miss Chester County.

When St. Michael’s Lutheran Church was located in Kennett Square, Elizabeth would make the carnation cross every Easter and happily donate it to the church.

Elizabeth is survived by her daughter, Tina M. Bogle and her fiancé, Nicholas Mattoscio; her son, Joseph “Buck” Bogle, and his wife, Barbara; her sister, Shirley Corkell; her sister in law, Miriam Myers; her grandson, Jason Scrafford and his wife, Chaunte; 2 granddaughters and 6 great-grandchildren.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her brothers George Myers, Joseph Myers, and Charles Myers as well as her sister, Mary Lou Moran.

You are invited to join her family in the Celebration of her Life from 6:00 to 7:30 on Tuesday evening, April 23, 2019 in the Fellowship Hall at the Kennett Square Missionary Baptist Church, 408 Bayard Road, Kennett Square, PA.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Tamara James for her kindness and dedication in caring for Elizabeth.

Donations in Elizabeth’s honor can be made to the Kennett Area Senior Center, 427 S Walnut St, Kennett Square, PA 19348.
