She was predeceased by her son, James W. Akerman and his wife, Audrey Bailey Akerman; her sisters, Ruth Brittingham Cuddy, Margaret Cuddy, and Regina Cuddy; her brother, John L. Cuddy; and her stepsister, Alice Hickey Torello.

  2. My daughter Ainslee delivered meals to Mrs. Ackerman for the past few years. Ainslee loved seeing her and said that Mrs. Ackerman always gave her a hug. I delivered the meal on Christmas Eve with Ainslee (I was dressed as Santa) and Mrs. Ackerman was so excited to see us! Ainslee was very upset when I told her that Mrs. Ackerman passed away and said she will miss her smile and hugs. She was a special person!
    So sorry for your loss.

  3. Bill & Lydia: A life lived as long as “Dorothy’s” is a life well lived. My thoughts are with you both. Our Lord and Saviour does know when it is time for us to leave and live eternally with him. It just took her a bit longer than the average person. Anyone living to her age is a remarkable individual. I’m sure you both share many, many lovely memories from times past. God bless.
