Franklin Lavear Tinnin, Jr., 68, passed away Friday, October 18, 2019 at the Phoenix Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing.
He was born January 3, 1951, to Frank L. Tinnin, Sr. and the late Katherine White Tinnin.
Franklin, lovingly known as “Frankie” grew up in Avondale, PA. He attended the public schools of Avon Grove District in West Grove, PA. Frankie was an athlete and enjoyed many sports. He also enjoyed playing piano and chess. He was an avid reader and loved the outdoors. In his earlier years, he took up electrical engineering and blue printing in the Job Corp and earned an apprenticeship.
Frankie was a jovial person who had a love for family.
He leaves behind to cherish his memories: his father, Frank Tinnin, Sr., three sisters, Marlene Tinnin of West Grove, PA, Dawn Hovington of Bowie, MD, and Aretha Daniels of Ellicott City, MD; one brother, Dana Tinnin of Avondale, PA; and a host of other relatives. He was preceded in death by his son, Duane Franklin Wheeler.
