  1. To the Trimble family… I am sending condolences to your family as I’m in shock right now. Just saw this and as I always saw her at the Acme, I’d say Mrs Trimble, God Bless you, why are you still working?” Her response was, “ I love people!” And people loved you, Mrs Trimble. You will once again be reunited with your beautiful family and God is waiting with open arms to welcome you into Heaven. You will be missed. RIP, my friend

  2. Doris was the definition of joy! And those hugs of her, wow, they were the best. Her smile, it lit up the room! To the grandsons, I know this is another time of grief when you’ve gone through so much sadness in your lifetime. Know we care, are praying and holding you deep in our thoughts. Blessing! ♥️

  3. I just wanted to say what a beautiful service today to honor the life of Doris. She was such a great friend and neighbor and Luther House IV is going to miss her smile, her laugh, and all the kind words and things she did around here. She and I used to discuss the beautiful sunsets we could both see from our apartment windows and tonight was one of the most beautiful sunsets I have seen since living here. I felt as though this one was just a special one for her. May all the wonderful memories you have had through the years help to get you through this very difficult time. May she rest in peace. ❤

  5. Doris was a special lady, she was my neighbor for many years in West Grove. I went to school with her kids. I worked with Joy at the Kennett country club, she had many losses in her life ,but she was always concerned for others willing to offer a hug or a kind word. I will miss seeing her at the Acme ,where she worked up to her death. She was a very kind and sweet to everyone she met.
What a wonderful ,strong ,Independent woman she was.
    I will miss you Doris.

  6. I have known Doris all my life growing up in Avondale. She was a beautiful person inside and out. She had a smile for everyone
and loved her family. After losing her husband, daughter Joy and son Steve, she made her three grandsons the joy of her life and never failed to speak of them with pride. She hardly ever missed a Sunday in Avondale Presbyterian Church and we all loved her. My heart goes out to Jimmy, Tommy and Billy as they face life without this amazing loving grandmother.
