  2. To The Hartman Family:

Please accept my sincere condolences on the loss of Dot. Dot was a wonderful person who could always make you smile. She ran the middle school and did it with finesse. My late mother, Donna Pratola, was very friendly with Dot. They became quick friends and Dot took the time to teach her the ropes of working as an administrative assistant in the school district. My mother always had a kind word to say about Dot. She considered her a friend years after they both left the school district. Perhaps they will say hello to each other in the afterlife. I pray you all find peace and comfort during this sad time.

I am so sorry for the loss of your mom. She was a sweet lady and was friends with my mom and dad long before I knew her and she became my mother-in-law. She was a beloved grandmother to all of our children and will be missed by the people of Kennett.

  17. RIP, Dot. Our staff at Kennett Middle School loved you very much. First to greet us”Good morning” and last to wish us a good night at the end of the day. Selfless and always willing to help. Always a smile. Hard to remember you ever being annoyed. Worked around all the distractions that came to the office including the kids “sent to the office.” We loved your cinnamon buns and your pies (You made the best crust because you used lard). Just a lovely lady.

  18. My grandmother was one of a kind. I grew up with my mom, Carol and sister Lori in Maine far away from the family. So my memories are with visits my grandparents would make to Maine to visit, trips as a group to Cape Cod and our yearly drives to visit my grandparents. My grandmother always had school books that were being retired, and other little Knicknacks for us to take home. As I grew older I made visits with my mom to visit as we could. I will miss sitting around her kitchen table looking at the paper and chatting.

  20. To the Family – I got to know Dot when we worked side by side at the Kennett High School. She was such a nice person and she taught me so much about the workings of the school. I worked with her at the food cupboard and also gave her a ride to the breakfasts. I will miss her as a friend my thoughts & prayers will be with you all.
