March 19, 1929 - September 25, 2020 West Grove, PA | Age 91 Loving Brother, Uncle and Friend.

VINCENT VERGARA, age 91, of Avondale, PA, formerly of Syracuse, NY, passed away on Friday, September 25, 2020, at Twin Pines Health Care Center. He was the husband of Carolyn Hemming Vergara who passed away in 2017, and with whom he shared 57 years of marriage.

Born in Coatesville, PA, he was the son of the late Anthony Vergara and the late Catherine Ianollo Vergara.

He owned and operated Vergara’s Liquor Store in Syracuse, NY, for 20 years, retiring in 1980.

Vincent was a member of St. Gabriel of the Sorrowful Mother Church in Avondale, PA.

He is survived by one sister, Ann Longenecker, and many nieces and nephews.

You are invited to visit with his family and friends from 10:00 to 11:00 Tuesday morning, October 6, 2020 at St. Gabriel of the Sorrowful Mother Church, 8910 Gap Newport Pike (Route 41), Avondale, PA. His Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00. Burial will be at 11:30, Wednesday morning, October 7, 2020, in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, RR #2, Annville, PA 17003

  1. I just read of my Uncle Vince’s passing. I remember going out golfing with Aunt Caroline at the club then eating lunch with her and Uncle Vince as a child. Spending time with both of them was a wonderful time for me. I wish my family and I could of known them in their last few years. Please reach out if you can.
