Our hearts are hurting. Pop Pop was such a special man. He had a natural ability to make you feel like the most important person in a crowded room. He loved his family fiercely – all while making everyone outside his tight circle feel like his family too. Undoubtedly, to have known Pop Pop is to have known unconditional love. Our cherished memories will forever keep him in our hearts.

His services and burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers please help out a family who may be struggling during this time making their Christmas a little brighter.

When grief feels weighty may the recounting of those vivid memories of his jovial manner and seamless delivery of jokes and stories bring a smile to your faces and peace to your hurting hearts.

  14. Blessings Versagli Family. Janet and I are very sorry to hear of Big Joe’s passing. Our families go way back, and I’ll miss Joe and his hugs each time I saw him. I often think about the fun old days when we’d gather in Joe’s basement for Monday Night Football. Laughs and jokes were in great supply! Joes hot peppers and homemade wine are legendary, and I still roast my peppers the way he said. A lot of memories are flowing this week.

Please know we are thinking of you at this time. Peace.

Truer words have never been spoken, Poppop always treated me like I was one of his own. I loved the greetings he would give me. Truly a special man and a tremendous influence on his family.

But please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you all. Joe was such a nice person, I bowled with him and enjoyed a few meals at their house and goodies that he made and gave out. Memories are the key and I know you all have many to help you through this holiday time. Blessings and good wishes for a better new year. Becky
