Christine Elizabeth Troilo

August 8, 1925 - July 14, 2021 Age 95

Mrs. Christine Elizabeth Troilo (nee: Paisley), 95, of Bear, DE, passed away peacefully in her daughter and son-in-laws home on July 14th 2021. Born in West Jefferson, NC on August 8th 1925, she was the daughter of the late Walter and China (McMillan) Paisley. On March 31st 1945, she married the love of her life, Gerard D. Troilo. They were blissfully married for 71 years before he passed in 2016.

Mrs. Troilo was a graduate of Avon Grove High School in the class of 1943. She was a longtime member of Assumption BVM Church in West Grove, PA. Some of her favorite past times included boating on the Chesapeake with her husband and family, wintering in Ft. Myers Beach, FL, reading, watching or attending baseball games, and gardening. But what she enjoyed the most was spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Mrs. Troilo is survived by her children, Joseph D. Troilo and wife Pauline of Avondale, PA, Gerard S. Troilo and wife Cathy of The Villages, FL and Cindy T. Zerillo and her husband James of Bear, DE; her grandchildren Jason, Joey, Justin, Jeff, Bryan, Jackie, Jessie, and Michael; her great-grandchildren Colin, Caroline, and Wyatt; and her sister Shirley Byrd of DE. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Troilo is also preceded in death by her beloved son Garrett Michael Troilo, her brother Dean Paisley and sister Logene DiStefano.

Friends will be received on Tuesday, July 20th 2021 from 10AM until the start of mass at 11AM at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Parish, 300 State Road, West Grove, PA 19390. Interment will follow at St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Kennett Square.

  7. I feel blessed and honored to have spent so much time over the years from college days when we went home with Cindy to the get togethers in Delaware. Your Mom always made me feel like another daughter and ALWAYS had the most beautiful smile and warm heart.
    I know the many wonderful memories will fill the void partially, but our Mom’s will always be missed more than words vm an convey.
