April 18, 1948 - January 21, 2023 Mcalisterville, PA | Age 74 "loving mother and grandmother"Mary Elizabeth Thawley age 74 of Mcalisterville, sadly passed away on January 21, 2023 at home.
She was born to Rosemary and Albert Thawley April 18 1948 of Hamorton Kennett Square.
She went to St. Patrick’s, Ursuline Academy and Bishop Shanahan and attended Wilmington Data Processing School.
She worked at the Division of Revenue and owned her own tea house the “Chocolate Parlour.”
She loved family gatherings, reading, painting, music and collecting angels. She enjoyed walking, swimming and nature’s beauty. While she loved the surrounding mountains, it was always the ocean that gave her peace.
She was a loving mother and grandmother and is survived by her children Christopher Wessells and wife Kasey, Andrew Wessells and wife Amber and Elizabeth Confuorto and husband Daniel. She also had 6 grandchildren Aiden, Kayleigh, Liam, Graham, Robert and Patrick.
She is also survived by her brother Albert Thawley and wife Eleanor along with many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
She will also be missed by her cats Halo and Echo who were always by her side.
She was preceded in death by David Llewellyn and her former husband of 23 years Clay Wessells.

Funeral Mass will follow at 12:00pm at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 212 Meredith Street, Kennett Square, PA. Burial will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Route 82, Kennett Square, PA

So sorry to hear of her passing. Her son Chris and his wife Kasey and my daughter Jessica were best friends for years. She will be missed.
