Ann L. Oas

Ann L. Oas, 85, of Unionville, passed away on Tuesday, March 12th, 2024. She was the wife of the late Charles W. Oas Sr., who passed in 2018 and with whom she shared 61 years of marriage. 

Born in West Chester, PA she was the daughter of the late Francis and Margaret Morgan.

Ann was employed by The Chadds Ford Elementary School working in the cafeteria.  She also worked at Penn Mutual Insurance Company in West Chester for many years. Ann devoted a lot of her time to learning and sharing about local history. In her free time she enjoyed playing cards with friends and going out to lunch. Ann also loved attending horse races and following the local fox hunts with her husband Charlie and her grandchildren. 

Ann is survived by her two sons Charles W. Oas Jr. (Karen) of Newtown Square, PA and Stephen F. Oas (Wendy) of Coatesville, PA; eight grandchildren, Matt Oas (Erin), Hilary Gray, Chris Oas (Emily), Juliana Jastrem (Thomas), Zack Oas (Hilary), Casey Oas, Corey Oas (Claire), and Andrea Jackson (Jared); seven great-grandchildren Penelope Gray, Rowan Gray, Summer Jackson, Liliana Jastrem, Thomas Jastrem III., Crew Jackson, and Grace Oas.

In addition to her beloved husband, Ann was predeceased in death by a son Bruce G. Oas, and three sisters Catherine Morgan, Virginia Leary, and Frances Shannon.

Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation on Tuesday, March 19, 2024 from 10AM -12 Noon at Kuzo Funeral Home, Inc. (610-444-4116) 250 W. State St. Kennett Square, PA 19348. Interment will follow at the Longwood Cemetery in Kennett Square.
