Anna Elizabeth (Groff) Keene

Anna Elizabeth Groff Keene, age 85 of Lincoln University, PA, passed away on October 19, 2026, at Union Hospital in Elkton, MD.

Anna was the wife of the late Timothy Michael Halsey with whom she shared more than 30 years together prior to Timothy’s passing in July of 2026. 

Born 1941 in West Grove, PA, Anna was the daughter of the late Harold Joseph Groff and the late Lillian Emmarene Haney Groff.

Anna graduated from Oxford High School.

Her first job was with Victor F. Weaver, the chicken company, in New Holland, PA. Eventually she began a career at Tymeshare/Dynatax. Her time at Dynatax allowed her to travel, which she loved to do, experiencing new places and meeting new people.

After the company closed its doors, she tried on several hats before finally settling into Real Estate.

Anna was a strong woman. When she set her sights on something, nothing could prevent her from reaching her goal. Though she had a determined spirit, Anna also had a kind soul. She will be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her son, Joe Keene; her daughter, Shannan Keene; and three grandchildren, Robert, Hannah and Arielle.

You are invited to visit with Anna’s family from 10:00AM to 11:00AM on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, at New London Presbyterian Church, 1986 Newark Rd, Lincoln University, PA 19352. Services will begin at 11:00AM and interment will follow at New London Presbyterian Cemetery.
