Loving Brother, Uncle, Companion and Friend.

Bernard Joseph Dougherty, Jr. (Bernie) age 59 of Kennett Square, Pa. passed away on Monday, June 27, 2016 at the Abington Hospital.

Born in Upper Darby, Pa. He was the son of the late Bernard Joseph Dougherty, Sr. and Anne Marie Feeney Dougherty.

Bernie retired from Kendal and Crosslands in 2009. Before that he was owner of Birch Street Automotive.

Bernie proudly served his country in the US Navy 1976 1980. He was CPO on the USS Forrestal.

Bernie enjoyed Cape May, NJ, fishing, Philadelphia sports teams and he loved history. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was a great brother and friend; his sense of humor will be missed by many.

He is survived by one brother, James J. Dougherty of Oxford, Pa.; two sisters, Anne Marie Puoci (Frank) of West Grove, Pa. and (Meg) Margaret McComsey (Larry) of Oxford, Pa.; two nieces, Caitlin McComsey and Lisa Puoci; and companion, Diana Kelly.

You are invited to visit with his family and friends from 8:45am to 9:45am on Saturday morning, July 9, 2016 at Assumption BVM Church, 300 State Road, West Grove, PA. His Funeral Mass will follow at 10am. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
