Bradford Gudmundson Obituary

Brad Gudmundson, age 70 from West Grove, PA, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Friday, December 13, 2024. He was the husband of Susan Gudmundson, with whom he shared 48 years of marriage.

Born in Seattle, WA, Brad was the son of the late Elaine and Curt Gudmundson. He graduated from Lower Burrell High School, where he played football, and attended Mansfield State University, where he also played football. Brad attended Youngstown State University, where he earned a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Brad most recently worked for Matheson Gas. Over the years, he enjoyed mentoring young engineers with his wealth of knowledge in troubleshooting.

His work experience took him to many corners of the world, where he not only broadened his horizons but also built meaningful connections with individuals of all nationalities. Whether he was recounting a funny moment from his travels or sharing a profound lesson learned, his stories shaped by the people he met along the way, were captivating to all who had the privilege of hearing them.

Brad loved traveling and driving, especially to warm weather destinations with his family, and creating beautiful memories. His grandchildren adored him, and eagerly awaited his visits and the adventures in the big truck. The truck wasn't just a mode of transportation, but a symbol of the exciting, spontaneous adventures he created.

His quick wit and playful nature made him a joy to be around and generated smiles and laughter in children and adults. His warmth and easygoing spirit will live on in the hearts of those who were lucky enough to know him.

Brad is survived by his wife, Susan; son, Erik; daughter, Gwenn DeAngelis and her husband, Michael, and his 2 treasured grandsons, Roman and Evan. He is also survived by brother, Gary and his wife, Joyce, and sister, Virginia. Brad is survived by 5 nieces and nephews. He was always available to help or support and will be sorely missed.

The family welcomes stories about their beloved “Mr. Trickster.”

Celebrations of Brad’s life will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Heart Association, or charity of your personal choice. https://www.heart.org/
