Brenda C. Hershey of Toughkenamon, passed away Sunday, June 29th surrounded by her family and loved ones.
Brenda was born in West Chester, PA in 1961. She graduated from Unionville High School in 1980. After Graduation she began her adventures in the working world. She bartended at The Brown Derby, VFW of Kennett and waitressed at Longwood for many years. More recently she worked at the Toughkenamon post office full time since 2014, part time before that. These positions led her to make many dear friends, including her post master Joe Mckeon who she always spoke fondly of. She spent many summers working in her garden and helping others cultivate theirs. She was fiercely independent but would jump to action when any of her friends, family, or animal needed anything. She loved helping her community and working in her hometown. Her home away from home was The Outer Banks where she enjoyed fishing, sitting on the beach, and being with her Southern family.
She was preceded in death by her mother Cydney Webster, her father Robert GH Hershey, her stepfather Jack Webster, first companion Bobby Palmos, and her sister in-law Brenda L. Hershey.
She is survived by her long time partner Kenny Gonzalez, her brothers Brian Hershey (Debbie McComsey), Glen Hershey, Billy Webster, her sisters Alyson Hershey-Sinson, Angela Meekins (Tony Meekins), and Roberta Hershey-Smith, as well as her step daughter Natashyia Palmos-Arreola (Erik Arreola) their 3 children, nieces Andrea Bailey (Bruce Bailey Jr), Stephanie Sinson, Hannah Lofty (De’Mar Lee), and Erin Pierznik, and nephew Mathew Hershey.
