Bridget Anne Loftus (née McLaughlin), born on July 23, 1979 in Bryn Mawr Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully at the age of 45 on August 19, 2024. A beloved mother, daughter, sister, aunt, niece, and friend, Bridget’s presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She was a graduate of West Chester University and Bishop Shanahan High School, where she developed lifelong friendships and created everlasting memories. Bridget’s warmth and kindness touched everyone she met, and she had a remarkable ability to form bonds with people instantly, fueled by her genuine enthusiasm to learn about others.
Bridget was a devoted mother to her two children, Kaylee and Jameson, who were the light of her life. Her love for them was boundless, and she took immense pride in their accomplishments and growth.
She cherished her friendships and delighted in hearing stories and updates from her friends whenever they met. Her life was enriched by the connections she made, and she always made others feel valued and heard.
Bridget is survived by her parents, Raymond and Valorie McLaughlin. She leaves behind her brother Daniel McLaughlin and his wife Anna, and their son Maxwell, as well as her brother Raymond McLaughlin and his children Hayden, Sydney, Addisyn, and Audrey, all of whom held a special place in her heart.
Bridget's memory will be cherished by her family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know her. Her spirit, love, and kindness will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, August 29, 2024 from 5:00PM to 7:00PM at Kuzo Funeral Home, 250 W. State Street, Kennett Square, PA 19348. A second viewing will be held Friday, August 30, 2024 from 10:30AM to 11:30AM at Saint Maximilian Kolbe Church, 15 E. Pleasant Grove Rd, West Chester, PA 1938. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 12:00PM and interment will follow at St. Agnes Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Shanahan Fund at Bishop Shanahan High School.
