Catherine “Cathie” Pierce Crossan-Duncan, age 90 of Kennett Square, PA died Thursday, November 27th, 2025 at her residence. Born in 1935 in West Grove, PA, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Alta Pierce.
Cathie graduated from Avon Grove High School. She advanced her career as a loyal employee of Bell Telephone, where she continued her career as it became Bell Atlantic and eventually Verizon.
She was an active member of Unionville Presbyterian Church for many years. Cathie was also active in the Po-Mar-Lin Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary providing support to the fire company at which her husband was the Fire Chief and her son and son-in-law were Lieutenants. She also enjoyed a fierce game of pinochle, dancing, cruise vacations, and Rehoboth Beach.
Growing up with 5 older sisters and one younger brother, Cathie cherished her family and enjoyed every moment, watching it grow to four generations. She never missed a party, loved to host holiday gatherings, and had her biggest smile when family stopped by to visit.
Cathie leaves behind a legacy of love through her daughters, Tina McLennan (Mark) and Tami Bush; her treasured grandchildren, Lauren (Corey), Kelly (Sean), Melanie (Kevin), Angela (Oliver), Cory (Taylor), and Brian; and her adored great-grandchildren, Tatum, Brody, TJ, Liam, Adaline, and Elliott.
She is reunited in heaven with her first husband who she lost too early to cancer, Melvin Crossan; her devoted late husband, John Duncan; and her beloved son, Randy Crossan.
