Celia Hernandez Magana, age 94 of West Grove, PA, passed away at her home on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, while surrounded by her loving family.
Born 1930 in Rancho Pamaceo, Moroleon, Guanajuato, Mexico, Celia was the daughter of the late Jose Hernandez Carbajal and the late Elodia Magana Rodriguez.
In her younger years, Celia was a seamstress in Mexico where all her work was hand sewn.
Celia was a devout Catholic and never missed a Sunday Mass. Her faith was very important to her.
She was an avid reader and loved to listen to music – especially the regional music of Mexico, like banda.
Celia had a wonderful sense of humor. She was always happy and brought happiness to those around her. Celia was friendly, outgoing and could strike up a conversation with anyone.
Though Celia was strong, she always treated others with sincerity and kindness. The joy that Celia brought to the world will be deeply missed.
Celia is survived by her 9 children, Jose, Gloria, Benjamin, Rosalio, Santiago, Augustine, Fernando, Nicholas and Silvia; as well as many grandchildren; many great grandchildren; and many great great grandchildren.
A viewing will be held on Monday, August 5, 2024 from 5:00PM to 6:30PM at St. Rocco Catholic Church, 333 Sunny Dell Road, Avondale, PA 19311. Mass will begin at 6:30PM. Interment will occur at a later date in Mexico.

Celia Hernández Magaña, de 94 años de West Grove, PA, falleció en su casa el martes 23 de julio de 2024, rodeada de su amada familia.
Nacida en 1930 en Rancho Pamaceo, Moroleón, Guanajuato, México, Celia era hija del fallecido José Hernández Carbajal y de la fallecida Elodia Magaña Rodríguez.
En su juventud, Celia era costurera en México, donde todo su trabajo era cosido a mano.
Celia era una católica devota y nunca faltaba a la misa dominical. Su fe era muy importante para ella.
Era una ávida lectora y le encantaba escuchar música, especialmente la música regional de México, como la banda.
Celia tenía un maravilloso sentido del humor. Ella siempre estaba feliz y traía felicidad a quienes la rodeaban. Celia era amigable, extrovertida y podía entablar una conversación con cualquiera.
Aunque Celia era fuerte, siempre trataba a los demás con sinceridad y amabilidad. Extrañaremos profundamente la alegría que Celia trajo al mundo.
A Celia le sobreviven sus 9 hijos, José, Gloria, Benjamín, Rosalio, Santiago, Agustín, Fernando, Nicolás y Silvia; así como muchos nietos; muchos bisnietos; y muchos tataranietos.
Se llevará a cabo una visita el lunes 5 de agosto de 2024 de 5:00 p. m. a 6:30 p. m. en la iglesia católica St. Rocco, 333 Sunny Dell Road, Avondale, PA 19311. La misa comenzará a las 6:30 p. m. El entierro se producirá en una fecha posterior en México.
