Cortland W. Warrington

Cortland W. Warrington, age 91 of Landenberg, PA, died peacefully on Saturday, June 21, 2025 at his home surrounded by his family. He was married to Claire Lilley, his high school sweetheart, for 64 years.

Cortland was born in Wilmington, DE, to Pauline (Robinson) and Theodore Warrington. He graduated from Conrad High School in 1951. He was a master sergeant in the Delaware Army National Guard. He retired from DuPont after 34 years of service then spent seven years at B. Gary Scott Realtors. He was a member of Ionic Lodge #31 Delaware.

Cortland and Claire traveled extensively and liked to spend time at their cottage in Slaughter Beach, DE. They cherished time spent with family and friends.

He was preceded by Claire and his brother Wayne. He is survived by two sons: Mark (Anna) of West Grove, PA, and Keith (Jeanne) of Landenberg, PA; four grandchildren: Steven of Tampa, FL, Rachel Shutak (Devyn) of Wilmington, DE, Olivia of Lincoln University, PA, and Hunter of West Grove, PA; and one great grandson Camryn J. Shutak of Wilmington, DE.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation from 10:00-11:00am on Tuesday, July 1, 2025 at Foulk Funeral Home of West Grove, 200 Rose Hill Road, West Grove, PA 19390. A private graveside service will follow.
