David C. Fertig

David Fertig, 57 years old of Kennett Square, PA died May 5, 2023 after his courageous battle with cancer.

Dave was the son of the late M. Lee Fertig and Mary Pyle Fertig.

Dave was a 1983 Graduate of Kennett High School. Dave loved all things sports and was an exceptional athlete playing soccer, baseball and basketball during his time at Kennett High School. He loved to remind anyone who would listen that he would have been the star quarterback had they had a football team.

Following high school, he went on to be a transformer electrician at PSEG, but his love of sports continued. He played softball throughout the years, usually playing for 3-4 different teams at one time. Not only did Dave enjoy playing sports- he watched any and all televised games. Life usually revolved around a TV and the Cowboys schedule.

Even more than the love of sports, Dave loved his close family and friends. He sadly leaves behind his longtime girlfriend and love of his life Chrissy Pannell, Daughter Kylie Fichett, Sister Crystal Fertig Bennett, Brother In law Craig Bennett, Brother Kevin and many nieces and nephews.
