Dawn Marie Lee-Jackson, 67 years old, of Kennett Square, PA, (“formerly of” West Chester, PA) passed away at her home on April 8, 2026.
Born in 1959 in Waterbury, CT, Dawn was the daughter of Peter and Peggy Lee. Dawn is survived by her mother Margaret (Peggy) Lee, her brother Peter Lee and her sister Rachel Lee-Cusamano. She was preceded in death by her father Peter B. Lee and her husband Stephen B. Jackson.
Dawn was married in 1987 to Stephen B. Jackson and shared many years together. She was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witness in 1990 and served as a faithful servant for over 30 years at the Ardmore, West Chester and Kennett Square, PA congregations. She enjoyed the ministry, talking with people about the bible and attending the assemblies and conventions.
Dawn loved to read. It was not uncommon for her to frequent the library for mystery novels, various poetry authors and arts and crafts books. She also loved being at the beach. As a teenager she enjoyed riding her horse Brandy and later in life she always spoke of the day she would have a house at the beach, a horse to ride and a vineyard to make wine like her father. She took hope and comfort in the resurrection and the day when all would be new.
Throughout her life, Dawn (Cookie) was known for her kindness, sense of humor and her love for people. Family was at the heart of Dawn’s life and she cherished time spent withher parents and siblings. Dawn will be missed greatly but only for a short while….
Ps. 134: 8 – Taste and see that Jehovah is good; Happy is the man who takes refuge in him.
Services for Dawn will be held privately with family.
