Doris (nee Dodsworth) Dougherty, age, 92 of West Grove, PA, passed away peacefully Monday, June 29, 2026 at her home with her husband, Winfield, with whom she shared 69 years of marriage, by her side.
Born in 1933 in Norristown, PA, she was the daughter of the late Armand Dodsworth and Catherine Rath Dodsworth.
Doris is survived by her husband, Win, her son David and his wife Marilyn, her daughter Dorene and her husband Tony, and her son Michael and his wife Gina: as well as seven grandchildren, Colleen, Mark, Melissa, Michelle, Maria, Megan and Mitchell. She will be dearly missed by her eight great grandchildren: Ella, Avery, Madison, Kinsley, Karsyn, Myles, Aiden and Haven. She is also survived by her brother, Armand Dodsworth.
Doris grew up in Conshohocken where she attended Conshohocken High School and was an active member in cheerleading, basketball, choir and drama. After receiving her associates degree from Drexel University, she married, became a homemaker and a mother actively involved in her children’s many activities. As time went by, that interest evolved into the similar activities for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Doris was also devoted to her Catholic faith and loved to pray the rosary daily.
You are invited to visit with Doris’s family and friends from 9:30-10:15 on Thursday, July,9 at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Parish, 300 State Rd, West Grove, PA 19390. A funeral mass will follow visitation.
