EDWARD J. ODONNELL, age 77, of West Grove, PA, passed away on Friday, November 20, 2015 at his residence. He was the husband of Stella Siedzikowski ODonnell, with whom he shared 50 years of marriage.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Edward J. and Carmelita Browne ODonnell.
He was a Shop planner at the Philadelphia Naval Ship Yard for 28 years, retiring in 1995. Prior to that, he was a policeman on the Philadelphia Police Department for 13 years. After his retirement, he worked for the DuVall Bus Co., driving handicapped children.
Ed enjoyed hunting, fly tying and salmon fishing. He was an avid beekeeper, bird carver, pet lover, and a great story teller. He especially enjoyed being with his family and friends.
He was a member of Assumption BVM Catholic Church, West Grove, PA; the Knights of Columbus, Council No. 7585; the Fraternal Order of Police, American Legion, Kennett Square, PA and the White Clay Creek Fishermans Club.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Edward J. ODonnell, III and his wife Flvia of Boston, MA; three daughters, Kelly Ann ODonnell Clampitt and her husband Corey of Smyrna, DE,
Carmelita ODonnell Senatz and her husband Jonathan of Downingtown, PA and Erin ODonnell Shindle and her husband William of Kennett Square, PA;
One sister, Kathleen Booth of West Chester, PA; eight grandchildren and four step grandchildren.
You are invited to visit with his family and friends from 8:15 to 9:45 on Saturday morning, November 28, 2015, at Assumption BVM Catholic Church, 300 State Road, West Grove, PA. His funeral Mass will follow at 10:00. Burial will be in St. Malachi Cemetery, Londonderry Township, PA
