Faytha (King) Chaires 85, died on April 10, 2025 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Born to the late Luther and Clara (Honaker) King in Parksville, Kentucky. She previously resided in Georgetown, Delaware, Kemblesville, PA and Wallingford, PA.
In her earlier years she worked at Chester Penn 5 and 10 in Chester, PA. She liked to sew, make crafts, work in her garden, and grow flowers. In addition, she also liked listening to country music.
She loved her children and also raised two of her grandchildren. Faytha also loved her dogs.
She was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth R. Chaires who passed in 2013; daughter Charlotte Chaires who passed in 1996; and son Thomas A. Chaires who passed in 2020.
She is survived by son Kenneth and (Cindy) Chaires Jr of Oxford, PA; daughter Carol and (Dan) Bauder of Fort Wayne, Indiana; and sister Oneda Defonzo of Delaware; and daughter in law Cindy (Weston) Chaires of Avondale, PA along with many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, April 17 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Foulk Funeral Home, 200 Rose Hill Road West Grove, PA, followed by a funeral service at 11:00AM.
Interment will be at the New London Presbyterian Church Cemetery in New London, PA following the service.
