George R. Easterday

George Robert Easterday, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, peacefully
passed away on July 19, 2026, surrounded by the comforting presence of his loving family.

Born on October 7, 1935, in Philadelphia. The son of George and Edith, George was a man
who valued family above all else. Survived by his brother Bill and predeceased by his
brother Bob.

George was a graduate of Bartrum High School, 1953 and Temple University, 1967.
Following high school, George enlisted in the US Navy and honorably served from 1955 to
1958. Following his service to the country, he was employed by the Philadelphia Electric
Company and retired in 1991 after a 37-year career as a Project Manager in the
Construction Division.

In 1962, George married the love of his life, Florence. Floss and George shared a beautiful
marriage of 64 years. They were blessed with four sons: George and his wife Chrissy, Steve
and his wife Kathi, Ed and his wife Kim, and Ken. His family was his pride and joy, he adored
and was adored by his six grandchildren, Emily, Johnathan, Ashley, Michael, Eddie and
Joey. They brought him endless happiness and pride and his grandchildren loved their
Poppop.

An avid golfer, he found joy in the game and cherished the camaraderie with friends. His
stories and jokes became legendary among his family and friends, leaving a lasting
impression on all who knew him.

George will be fondly remembered for his sense of humor, thoughtful conversations, quick
wit, and the genuine kindness he extended to everyone fortunate enough to know him. May
he rest in eternal peace, surrounded by love and light.

George will be laid to rest at a private family gathering
