Gino Martelli, age 96, of Kennett Square, Pennsylvania, passed away on Wednesday, September 11, 2025, at Friends Home/Linden Hall in Kennett Square, PA.
He was the husband of the late Maria Lucignoli Martelli, with whom he shared 59 years of marriage. Born in Civitella del Tronto, Province of Teramo, Abruzzo, Italy on August 9, 1929, he was the son of the late Domenico and Domenica DiDonato Martelli.
After immigrating to the United States, he worked as a machinist for the Boeing Corporation for several years. He then continued as a machinist at Lenape Forge in West Chester, PA for 25 years, retiring in 1993.
He enjoyed gardening, wine making, reading, history, storytelling, being with family and friends.
He is survived by his daughter, Stephania Price (John) West Grove, PA., and his son Domenic (Jennifer) Kinzers, PA; three sisters: Maria Pia Saienni (Earl), West Grove, PA, Josephine Nikom, South Carolina, Rosa Hart, Kennett Square; Five grandchildren, Brandon Price, Austin Price, Alexandria Martelli, Luke Martelli, Giavanna Martelli; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by three sisters, Fernanda Sinibaldi, Marisa DiUbaldo, and Concettina Haley.
You are invited to visit with his family and friends from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday evening, September 17 , and again from 9:30-10:30 a.m. on Thursday morning, September 18 at the Kuzo Funeral Home, 250 West State Street, Kennett Square. His Funeral Mass will follow at 11 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Church, 212 Meredith Street, Kennett Square, Pa. Burial will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Route 82, Kennett Square.
