Mr. Greg Gelsinger, age 63 of Honey Brook, passed away on Saturday, November 14, 2020 at Brandywine Hospital in Coatesville. He was the husband of the late Meridith (Wasserman) Gelsinger.
Born on April 1, 1957 in West Chester, PA, he was the son of the late Jerry Wayne and Gloria (Reynolds) Gelsinger.
Greg was a graduate of Kennett High School. He served in the Delaware Wing Civil Air Patrol as a youth, where he discovered his love of Emergency Services. Gregs life work was saving, educating and mentoring people in all areas of Emergency Response. He worked as an EMT & EMT Instructor for Montgomery and Chester Counties, later becoming a paramedic in 1984. He served at many places, most notably Southern Chester County Rescue, Kennett Fire Company, Trans Care, and American Medical Response. He was currently a critical care medic for Tower Health. In his free time, he enjoyed Star Track and Monty Python movies.
Greg is survived by his daughter Samantha Anne Gelsinger (David) and granddaughter Kira Snyder; stepdaughter Maria Palecko (Jon) and step grandchildren Edward, Patrick and Josef Palecko. He will be especially missed by Nancy Staton, a childhood friend of 47 years that he recently reconnected with and many others whose lives he touched.
All services will be scheduled at a later date.
