Helen L. (Aquilanti) Malchione

Helen L. Malchione, age 94, of Avondale, PA died Thursday, February 12, 2026, at Jenners Pond. She was the wife of John Malchione, with whom she shared 71 years of marriage.

Helen was born in 1932 in Derry, PA. She was the daughter of the late Louis and Jane Ann Aquilanti.

Helen graduated from Derry High School in 1946. She married John Malchione in 1954.

Helen was a homemaker and enjoyed taking care of family and playing cards with her friends.

She was a parishioner of St. Gabriel’s Catholic Church for many years. She enjoyed traveling with family and friends to Italy, Alaska, Myrtle Beach and Disney World, just to name a few.

Helen is survived by her daughters, Judy (Ron), Susan (Bob), and Diane (Jerry); her brother, Louis; six grandchildren, John (Tiffany), Steve (Julie), Brad (Janina), Scott (Sara), Andrew (Laura), and Jaclyn (Chris); eleven great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews that she deeply loved.

Helen was preceded in death by her husband, John; brother, Agostine; sister, Thelma; nephew, Richard; and great granddaughter, Grace.

You are invited to visit with Helen’s family and friends on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, from 10:30AM to 11:45AM at St. Gabriel’s Catholic Church, 8910 Gap Newport Pike, Avondale, PA 19311. Mass will begin at 12:00PM. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution may be made in Helen’s memory to St. Gabriel of the Sorrowful Mother, P.O. Box 709, Avondale, PA 19311.

Helen’s family would like to thank Dr. Mary-Anne Ost and staff for decades of care as well as Jenner’s Pond and Willowtree Hospice for their kindness and compassion.
