Hoover Gerald(Jerry) Eugene

Hoover, Gerald (Jerry) Eugune Of Unionville, PA passed away peacefully on June 12, 2025, in Hilton Head, SC, at the age of 95 surrounded by his family.

Born in Wilkes Barre, PA September 21, 1929. Jerry was preceded in death by his wife Jule. Loving father of Jerry (Mary) and Terry Hoover. Very proud grandfather of Brendan (Ally), Patrick (Madison) and Garrett (Samantha) Hoover. Great Grandfather of Brooks, Makenna, Chloe, Cameron and Meredith Hoover. He is survived by a brother Dale (Jean) Hoover of Atwater, CA and preceded in death by his mother (Viola), father (Arthur), brother (Gordon) and sister-in-law (Molly).

He was a member of Kennett Square Presbyterian Church and was active with the Unionville Township and other volunteer activities.

No one who ever met Jerry forgot his infectious smile, his love of family, his passion for nonwork activities like his farm, his animals and the Cheshire Hunt Community.

Jerry will be fondly remembered by family and friends for his generous smile, his willingness to help anyone at any time and for always being there for his family.

A memorial service will begin at 11:00 am, Kennett Square County Club on Friday, October 17th. A luncheon for family and friends will follow.
