Isabelino “Junior” Vargas Velazquez, age 70, of Kennett Square, Pennsylvania, passed away on Saturday, April 4, 2026. Born on May 29, 1955 in Cidra, Puerto Rico, to Ramona Vargas and Isabelino Velazquez.
Junior is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Terry Velazquez, and four children; Diana Velazquez, Michael Velazquez, Rey Velazquez and Amanda Velazquez-Goodman, 11 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
A skilled and dedicated career mechanic, Junior had a lifelong passion for cars and his Puerto Rican roots. He was a simple man in the best sense—humble, kind, and genuine. He didn’t need much to be happy: time with family and friends, good conversation, and the comfort of being surrounded by those he loved. He had a way of making people feel at ease, and his presence will be missed more than words can express.
Junior’s legacy lives on through his family, his friendships, and the many lives he impacted. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Family and friends are invited to honor and celebrate Junior’s life at a viewing on Sunday, April 12, 2026, from 12:00 – 2:00pm at Kuzo Funeral Home, 250 W. State Street, Kennett Square, Pennsylvania, followed by a short celebration of life at 2:00 pm.
