James Briggs died on April 9, 2025, at his home surrounded by his family.
James was born in Bakersville, North Carolina and later moved to Pennsylvania for work.
He worked in the mushroom industry and taught himself to drive tractor trailer which he drove for many years and loved driving. He loved eating crabs sitting on the back deck and watching nature. James enjoyed working in the yard and growing a garden, He loved his fur babies and is survived by Hank and Rocky.
James is survived by his loving wife JoAnne of 45 years, and his brother Rabe Briggs of Quarryville, Pa.
His memory and great outlook for life will live on with his nieces and nephews, Carson Hughes of West Grove and Amanda Faulkner of Georgia; Carrie Gay Church of Boston Mass: Abigail Church and Garrett Church of Lincoln University; Sister in laws Jane Hambleton of Lincoln University; Laura Church of Lincoln University; Brenda Church of Birdsboro Pa; Brother-in-law Thomas Church of Lincoln University.
You are invited to visit James family from 10:00am – 11:00am on Wednesday, April 23rd, 2025 at Foulk Funeral Home, 200 Rose Hill Rd. West Grove, PA 19390 with a memorial service to follow at 11:00am. Burial will be private.
