Age 77
On December 29, 2021 Jane (Janie) Antoinette Bazzano of Kennett Square, Pa., passed away at Chester County Hospital after a 26-day struggle with COVID Pneumonia.
Janie is survived by, and was the loving wife of John Bazzano, Jr., also of Kennett Square, with whom she shared 53 years of marriage; her son John (Jay) Bazzano III, and his wife Janet; also by her daughter, Andrea Cassidy; and her five grandchildren Joshua, and Jared Bazzano, and John IV, Kaitlyn, and Owen Cassidy, and by her sisters Rosemary Angelucci and Nancy Paproth.
She was pre-deceased by her parents Rocco and Margaret Perrone, and sisters Isabella Brun and Marguerite Garcia.
Janies parents Rocco & Margaret immigrated from Italy in the early 1900s, which made her a first-generation Italian immigrant. She was proud of her heritage and especially loved to attend large family gatherings, with her sisters, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Janie was a graduate of Kennett High School class of 1962 and Shippensburg University. She was a beloved elementary school teacher in the Kennett School district and served her community in many ways as an active and dedicated member of the Kennett Garden Club, Jr. Gardeners, the Kennett Area Senior Center, After the Bell, and Family Promise. Her faith, family and friends were important to her as witnessed by her practice of unconditional love to all.
A Funeral Mass will be held on January 29th at 10 a.m. at St. Patricks Church, 212 Meredith St., Kennett Square, PA 19348. For those who have concerns about COVID or inclement weather, a live, online streaming of the ceremony will be offered at https://venue.streamspot.com/66c95b9b
