Jeffrey Hammaker Obituary
Jeff Hammaker passed away at his home on July 22, 2026.
He went to Springfield High school and Delaware County Community college where he earned an Associate degree in electronics.
He recently retired from the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Phila. where he was an electronics technician.
Throughout his life he served the community in the following volunteer positions: Fire Police Captain at the Longwood Fire co. (15 years), Fire Police Captain at the Brookhaven Fire co, 11th District Fire Police Commissioner, EMT and Ambulance driver at the Springfield Ambulance corp, and the Kennett Township Emergency Management Coordinator. He also was a Trainman, Brakeman, Fireman, Conductor, Trainmaster and Diesel Engineer at the Wilmington & Western Railroad.
His hobbies were collecting model trains and real full size train horns.
He is survived by his wife Susan of over 35 years, his father, Robert and his uncle, Joe Rodriguez. Predeceased by his mother, Dolores (Dee).

Visitation on Tuesday, August 11th, at 10:00am at St. Patrick Church in Kennett Square PA, followed by Mass at 11:00am.
