With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of John G. Daly, 56, of Kennett Square, PA. On March 10th, 2025, surrounded by the warmth of his loving family and friends, John peacefully departed this world at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. He shared nearly 28 years of devoted marriage with his beloved wife, Robin Hartley Daly.
Born in Philadelphia in 1969 to Michael P. Daly and the late Maryanne Dominic Daly, John’s life was a testament to dedication and love. A graduate of Jefferson University (formerly Philadelphia College of Textiles and Sciences), he forged a successful career in marketing and supply chain management, culminating in his role as Senior Vice President Procurement Manager at MBNA and Bank of America.
Beyond his professional achievements, John's heart resonated deeply within his community. He was a pillar of support for the Unionville Recreation Association (URA) and the Unionville/Kennett Basketball Buddies, enriching the lives of many. His greatest passion, however, was his family. Evenings spent with Robin and their loyal dog, Hank, watching their favorite TLC shows, were cherished moments. He was a constant presence at family gatherings, and his son’s baseball games, and never missed an opportunity for a lively conversation with his daughters.
John's legacy lives on through his wife, Robin; his daughters, Abigail and Delaney; his son, Tiernan; his father, Michael Daly; and his siblings, Michael, Maryanne and Joanne.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects on Monday, March 17th, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at St. Cornelius Church, 160 Ridge Road, Chadds Ford, PA 19317. A funeral mass will follow at 12:00 PM. John's life will be celebrated at Penn Oaks Golf Club, 150 Penn Oaks Dr, West Chester, PA 19382, immediately following the mass.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the URA, 1752 Doe Run Road, PO Box 191, Unionville, PA 19375, or to KUBA-Buddy Basketball, 726 Garden Dr, Kennett Square, PA 19348.
