Judy Gift

June Louise Gift, otherwise known as ‘Judy’, passed away on Wednesday, July 3, 2024, at Chester County Hospital. She was the wife of the late George ‘Sonny’ Gift, whom she married February of 1960.

Born 1943 in Lancaster, PA, Judy was the daughter of the late Mary McCall.

Judy was a lifelong fan of Elvis. She even attended the Elvis festival in Maryland four years in a row. When it was time for a vacation, Judy treasured spending time with her family in Chincoteague, Virginia.

In her younger years, she enjoyed cooking for her family and taking care of the ones she loved. She made a habit of putting others’ needs before her own. She was a dedicated Mom, Mom-Mom, and Great Mom-Mom to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Judy was a survivor. Her strong will and determined spirit allowed her to triumph over all of life’s adversities. Judy was a spitfire through and through and will be missed by all who were lucky enough to have known her.

Judy is survived by her daughter, Lynn Harper; her son, Joseph Gift; brother, Barry Scotten; grandchildren, Kristen, Matthew, John and Michael; great grandson, Ryan; and her beloved canine companion, Sugar Bear.   

In addition to her husband, George, she was preceded in death by her son, John E. Gift, as well as several brothers and sisters.

You are invited to visit with Judy’s family from 10:00AM to 11:00AM on Monday, July 15, 2024, at Landenberg Methodist Church, 205 Penn Green Road, Landenberg, PA 19350. Her funeral service will begin at 11:00AM and interment will follow at Kemblesville Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Judy’s name may be mailed to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
