Kathleen M. Johnson

We are saddened to announce the death of Kathleen M. Johnson, who passed peacefully at home with her family surrounding her.

Kathy was born on November 17, 1946, and died on July 28, 2025.  Kathy lived a full and vibrant life and touched many people along the way.

Kathy was born in Philadelphia, PA to James and Elizabeth Dunn (Costello).   Kathy attended Most Blessed Sacrament grade School, then West Catholic Girls High School, and went on later to become a Registered Nurse. She received her Associate Degree in Applied Sciences at Delaware County Community College, completing their excellent nursing program.  She went on to specialize in Labor and Delivery and Mother and Baby, which remains her favorite areas of nursing.

She was pre-deceased by her daughter, Christina Johnson. She is survived by her husband, Joseph Johnson, her children Lisa Gallagher, Michael Johnson and Jamie Johnson. Also survived by seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to her funeral mass at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 300 State Rd., West grove, PA, 19390 on Friday, August 8, 2025, at 11 AM with a viewing from 9:45am to 10:45am. 

Her mass will be followed by her burial at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Cemetery, 1600 S. Sproul Rd., Springfield, PA 19064.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Kathy’s name can be made to Penn Medicine Hospice, 150 Monument Road, Suite 300, Bala-Cynwyd PA 19004.
