Laurie (Thompson) Fosco

Energetic, Optimistic and Loved by All

Laurie Fosco, 62, of Tarpon Springs, FL and West Grove, PA passed away at her home on February 7, 2023 after a long battle with cancer. Laurie was the wife of Jeffrey Fosco, with whom she shared 38 years of marriage. Born in West Chester, PA, she was the daughter of the late Walter W. Thompson and Jean Young Thompson. She was a 1978 graduate of Kennett High School and received her B.S. in Business Administration from Gwynedd Mercy University. She attended the Willowdale Chapel in Kennett Square, PA.

Laurie was an energetic and optimistic person, well loved by her family, friends, and colleagues. She was known as a hard worker and great encourager, with a good sense of humor. Her many Yorkie rescue dogs brought great joy to her life. Laurie retired from Johnson & Johnson, where she worked for many years. She was a life-long learner, and avid reader, earning her college degree in her 40s. Laurie was a person of strong faith, an active contributor at her church.

She is survived by her husband, Jeffrey Fosco of Palm Harbor, FL; her siblings, Rhonda Molin (John), of West Grove PA; Leigh Kelleher (Kevin) of Kennett Sq. PA; Walter Thompson (Betsy), of Ellicott City, MD; and Pam Curtis (Michael), of Hunt, TX, as well as many nieces and nephews.

All are welcome to a visitation with the family on Monday morning, February 13, 2023, from 10:00 to 11:00 at the Willowdale Chapel, 675 Unionville Road, Kennett Square, PA, immediately followed by a Life Celebration service. Burial will be held immediately following the service at Union Hill cemetery in Kennett Square. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Lauries memory can be made to an Urban Promise agency, Youth Promise, Kenya, PO Box 156, Pennsauken, NJ 08110.
