Lewis "Lew" Manuel, a lifelong resident of Kennett Square, passed away suddenly on May 28, 2024, at the age of 73. Born on August 23, 1950, Lew's heart always belonged to the town he cherished.
Lew is survived by his wife, Vicki; his son, Ryan Manuel (Courtney); and his daughter, Kellie Capote. He was a devoted grandfather to his six grandchildren: Ella Sheehan, Addison Manuel, Olivia Manuel, Ryder Manuel, Brynn Capote, and Brooklyn Capote. Lew is also survived by his six brothers, Tony Manuel (Ginny), Tom Manuel (Carol), Wayne Manuel (Nellie), Vincent Fazio (Antoinette), Joseph Fazio (Laura), and Peter Fazio (Mary), and his four sisters, Betty Turnbaugh (Bill), Patti Manuel-Arlan (Steve), Anita Caputo (Lou), and Rosemarie Nilan (Tom). He was the son of Thomas Albert Manuel and Eunice Manuel.
Lew owned and operated Lew Manuel Quality Construction, where he was known for his dedication and craftsmanship. He had a profound love for life and for those around him, touching the hearts of many with his kindness and generosity.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday, June 5th, from 6:00-8:00PM at Kuzo Funeral Home, 250 W State Street, Kennett Square, PA 19348. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, June 6th, at 11:00AM at St. Patrick’s Church, followed by a lunch reception and Celebration of Life at 1:00PM at the Italian American Club. Interment will be private.
