Mabel R. Myers, 96, passed away peacefully on March 11, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of memories for the family she loved so deeply. Born on August 1, 1929, she lived a long life marked by her strength, resilience, and selfless devotion to those she loved.
Mabel, known to many as Mom, Grandmom, Great-Grandmom, and the occasional “Mabes,” had a tiny five-foot frame filled with a lot of spunk, a little grit, and an undeniable love for her family. She was easy to talk to and had a natural way of making strangers feel like friends. Mabel was content in life and made the most of what little she was given, never complaining about wanting more.
She especially loved spending time with her family. Mabel was smooth on the dance floor, particularly when she would jitterbug with her daughter, Dawn. She loved watching her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren play ball and took great pride in cheering them on. She also looked forward to summers when the family would pack up for a week and head to Rehoboth Beach, where everyone piled into a small camper and did their best to keep out the mosquitoes while playing cards, laughing, and making memories together.
Mabel also enjoyed life’s little pleasures. She was a loyal Phillies fan, enjoyed a good bowl of ice cream while watching the Family Feud, and she never turned down an opportunity to try her luck at a slot machine. She was also known for driving her red Mach 1 Mustang around town, proving that a little five-foot woman could still tear up the roads.
Above all, the family Mabel built throughout her life remains her greatest legacy. Her spirit, humor, and the memories she created with those she loved will remain with her family always.
Mabel is survived by her children, Dennis Myers (Nicole) of West Grove, PA; Amanda Myers; Paula Myers May (Wayne) of West Grove, PA; Cathy Myers (Celeste) of Newark, DE; Timmy Myers of Three Springs, PA; and Danny Myers (Debbie) of Romansville, PA. She also helped raise seven stepchildren, whom she cared for as part of her extended family.
She is also survived by her grandchildren, Michelle Reynolds Milewski (Steve), Michael May (Joy), Kristi May Wyatt (Steve), Niki Harvey (Sean), Benjamin Fuller, and Shannon Myers, and ten beautiful great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Myers Jr.; her son, Judd Myers; her daughter, Dawn Myers Fitting; her brother, Victor Bailey Reynolds, Sr.; her sisters, Esther Reynolds Clark and Anna Mae Reynolds Norton; and her parents, Mary Reynolds Rucker and John Reynolds. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the nurses and caregivers who provided Mabel with such compassionate care and support.
