Maggie O’Sullivan Obituary

Age 18
Loving Daughter, Granddaughter, Sister, Niece and Friend

Margaret Ann OSullivan (August 12, 1999) of Kennett Square, PA, died Friday April 20, 2018 at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, NC from complications due to a fast moving bacterial infection. Born in Norwalk, CT, she was the daughter of Joseph S. and Cheryl Szabaday OSullivan.

Maggie was a ray of sunshine and activist who fought for equality and acceptance for all. She was loved by those who were fortunate enough to know her and will not be forgotten.

Maggie was a proud 2017 graduate of Kennett High School where she was a National Honor Society member, Class Treasurer, Junior Prom Queen, and a participant of the Feminist Club, Marching Band, Swim team, and Softball team, among many other activities. She was about to finish her freshman year at Wake Forest where she was a Deans List student and a member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority.

Survivors include her parents, her brother PJ OSullivan, a junior at Dartmouth College, her grandmothers, Roberta J. OSullivan of Kennett Square and Lina Dolores Mattiello of Mahwah, NJ, two aunts, Jane OSullivan of Lome, Togo, West Africa and Sara OSullivan of Manhattan, NY, and one uncle, Doug Szabaday of Midland Park, NJ. Maggie is also missed by her extended family, including aunts, uncles, and cousins, as well as her dear friends both at home and at Wake Forest.

We are overwhelmed by the show of support to our family since Maggies passing. After careful consideration we have decided to move Maggies Life Celebration to a larger venue, which necessitated a change of date.
