Marjorie Elaine (White) Baker

Marjorie Elaine (White) Baker, 74, of West Grove, Pennsylvania, peacefully passed away on August 6, 2026, at Pocopson Home in West Chester, Pennsylvania.

Born on July 27, 1952, Marjorie was the beloved daughter of the late Marie N. White. She grew up in Avondale and West Grove, Pennsylvania, and graduated from Avon Grove High School. While in high school, she earned her cosmetology license through the vocational-technical program. She later pursued a career in nursing, earning her Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certification.

Marjorie dedicated more than 30 years of her life to caring for others as an LPN at Kendal at Longwood. After leaving Kendal, she continued her nursing career at Pennsylvania Clinical Schools in Coatesville, Pennsylvania, where she worked until retiring due to illness. Caring for others was not simply Marjorie’s profession—it reflected the giving and supportive person she was throughout her life.

Marjorie was the devoted wife of Donald Baker and the loving mother of Terrance Baker and Tifany Becker. She also lovingly embraced Terrance’s wife, Dana, as a daughter and Tifany’s husband, George, as a son. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Chenoa Baker, Mateo Baker, Bryce Becker, Sean Becker (Alexis), and Courtney Kratz (Aaron). Her grandchildren were a tremendous source of joy, and nothing meant more to Marjorie than spending time surrounded by the family she loved.

She is lovingly remembered by her siblings Dennis White, Delores Minor-Hall, Jean Trahan (Bob), Forrest White, Monica Johnson, Pamela Langley, Toni Ferrell (Don), Camilla Hunter, and Aubrey White; her sisters-in-law Francis Reid (Alfred) and Evelyn Dandy; as well as a host of beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends.

Marjorie was preceded in death by her mother, Marie N. White; her beloved aunt, Ada White; her sister, Phyllis White Hector; and her brothers, David White and Phillip “Lionel” White.

Marjorie knew how to enjoy life’s simple pleasures. She loved going to yard sales and discovering a good find, sitting down with a cup of coffee and something sweet, losing herself in a good book, and watching HGTV. She loved spending time with her family and grandchildren, and she especially loved to laugh and dance.

Those fortunate enough to know Marjorie will remember a woman with a generous heart who was always willing to give and support the people she loved. Her warmth, humor, compassion, and caring nature touched countless lives—not only within her family, but also throughout the many years she spent caring for others as a nurse.

Her family will deeply miss her laughter, her support, her presence, and all the little things that made her uniquely Marjorie. The love she gave so freely will continue through her children, grandchildren, family, friends, and the many lives she touched.

Her life was one of caring, giving, laughing, loving, and always being there for the people who needed her. She will be deeply missed and forever loved. ❤️

You are invited to visit with Marjorie's family on Saturday, August 29, 2026 from 10:00AM to 11:00AM at Kuzo Funeral Home, 250 W. State Street, Kennett Square, PA 19348. Her Celebration of Life will begin at 11:00AM. Interment will be private.
