After her children were older, Marjorie went back to school for her associate’s degree in accounting and began a new career as a bookkeeper. She and husband moved to Lewes, DE for their retirement.
Marjorie was a member of St. Jude The Apostle Catholic Church when living in Lewes, DE, and an active member of the Msgr. Francis J. Desmond Columbiettes Auxiliary. After moving to West Grove, she became a member of Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Parish.
She was a proud member of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, in the Colonel David Hall chapter, where she served in many roles including former Chapter President and Delaware State Regent. For many years, her favorite activity was attending the DAR Continental Congress each summer in Washington, DC.
Marjorie treasured spending time with her family and friends. She was interested in genealogy, gardening, and enjoyed reading many good books. Traveling was one of her favorite pastimes. She traveled all over the U.S., Caribbean, and Europe, and took several cruises – two of her favorite cruises were in Alaska and the Panama Canal.
