Mary Lou Madron

Mary Lou Madron passed away peacefully on Friday, September 18, 2026 at a memory care unit in Hockessin, Delaware.  Raised in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania, Mary Lou was one of four children born to her parents whom she loved dearly.  Mary Lou, a devout Roman Catholic, graduated from Kennett High School and went on to obtain her licensed practicing nursing degree in West Chester, Pennsylvania. 

Beyond being a loving wife and mother and a devoted friend to so many, Mary Lou practiced as a part-time pediatric nurse for more than forty years while also working alongside her late husband, Ken, running various small family business ventures, most notably, Ken’s water well drilling and pump installation business.  Throughout her life, Mary Lou was a selfless and loving person who devoted so much energy to helping and caring for others, while never wanting any recognition for her profoundly meaningfully positive contributions to the lives of so many. 

Mary Lou is survived by her son, Jason M. Madron (Melissa), her stepson, John W. Madron, her grandchildren, Alexandra and Abigail Madron, her sister, JoAnn Marson, and numerous nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her loving and devoted husband of 42 years, Kenneth L. Madron, her parents, and two of her three siblings (Louis Marson, Jr. and Antoinette Pesce).

A Roman Catholic Christian service will be held on Friday, September 25, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Saint Patrick Roman Catholic Church located at 212 Meredith St, Kennett Square, PA 19348.  Burial will be at St. Patrick Cemetery in Kennett Square, PA immediately following the funeral mass.
