Moira C. Barson

Moira C. Barson nee O’Malley, 61 beloved wife of Gary Barson, passed away peacefully at Chester County Hospital surrounded by family on April 25, 2024. Born March 15, 1963 in Chester PA, she was a long-time resident of Aston and West Grove PA.

Co-owner/proprietor of G & M Supplies in Trainer PA, Moira was dedicated to providing the best quality work and safety gear for outdoor enthusiasts and tradesmen. 

In addition to her culinary skills, love of gardening and spending time with her much loved family and (spoiled) pets, Moira will be greatly missed for her quick wit, sense of humor, and indominable spirit.

Moira loved the serenity of their home in West Grove and vacation home in Pot Nets, DE. She was also known for her generosity and volunteer work with the Aston Angel Network among other organizations.

Survived by her husband of 27 years, Gary Barson, her stepsons Marty Barson (April) of Coatesville, PA and Larry Barson (Amanda) of Avondale, PA. grandchildren Marty Barson Jr., Devon Barson, Charlie Barson, and Lila Barson. Brother, James O’Malley (Dolores) of Peach Bottom, PA. Sisters, Margaret O’Malley Vasko of Woodbury, CT, Susan O’Malley of Lawrenceville, NJ, Claire O’Malley Northcutt (Mark) of Aston, PA and Siobhan O’Malley Nield (Dan) of Aston, PA. Many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Pre-deceased by parents John J. and Therese O’Malley, brother Sean O’Malley and sister, Therese O’Malley Kashner.

All services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Penn Medicine Hospice of Chester County
