Monika W. Christie

Monika W. Christie, age 59 of Avondale, PA, passed away on Monday, December 16, 2024, at Christiana Hospital. She was the wife of Jeffrey A. Christie, with whom she shared 34 years of marriage.

Monika was born in February of 1965 in Bensheim, Germany. She attended school in Germany and studied accounting for her higher education. She would later work as an accountant in the United States.

 It was also in Germany that Monika met her husband, Jeff. She caught Jeff’s eye while he was managing the NCO Club, and the rest was history.

Monika was a constant source of support to Jeff throughout his life and always had his back. She encouraged Jeff to be his best self and together, Monika and Jeff could overcome any challenge.

She absolutely loved dogs. Monika and Jeff owned 4 Weimaraners over the years and she enjoyed taking them on walks through the woods. She also liked flowers and tending to her plants. Monika had quite the green thumb.

In addition to her husband, Jeffrey, Monika is survived by her sons, Jeffrey, Jr. and Maurice; mother-in-law, Brenda Jones; sisters-in-law, Kim Brown, Tracy Jones and Jill Jones; and of course, her Weimaraner, Luna. She was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Tommy Jones.

A Memorial Service for Monika will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, December 28, 2024, at Kuzo Funeral Home, 250 W. State Street, Kennett Square, PA 19348.
